A site everyone
can use
We want every person looking for a builder in Southern Indiana or the Louisville Metro to be able to use this site, however they browse.
Website accessibility
Fonseca Builders is a father-and-son building company, and we would rather someone reach us easily than be impressed by our website. That includes people using a screen reader, navigating by keyboard, relying on voice control, zooming the page well past its normal size, or using any other assistive technology.
If any part of this site gets in your way, that is a problem worth fixing, and we would like to hear about it.
What we have built in
This site was built with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines in mind. In practice that means:
- Every photograph carries a written description, and the site cannot be published without one — a missing description stops the build.
- Decorative images are marked as decorative, so a screen reader skips them instead of reading filenames aloud.
- Headings run in a real order, so you can jump through a page by structure rather than reading it top to bottom.
- Links and buttons can be reached and operated by keyboard, and the focused element is visibly outlined.
- Where a photo is revealed by hovering, there is a button that does the same thing by tap or keypress, so the content is not locked behind a mouse.
- If your device or browser is set to reduce motion, the site turns off its animations and transitions rather than ignoring the preference.
- Text sits on solid or scrimmed backgrounds rather than directly on busy photographs, and the page reflows down to a small phone screen without horizontal scrolling.
Where we stand
We have not had this site formally audited, so we are not going to claim a specific conformance level. Accessibility is not a box that gets ticked once — it needs checking as pages change, and we would rather tell you plainly where we are than publish a badge we cannot back up.
If you find something broken, that is useful information and not an imposition. Reports from people actually using assistive technology are worth more than any checklist.
Telling us about a problem
This website is built and maintained for us by Hlad Digital. If something on the site is broken or unusable, reporting it to them gets it in front of the person who can actually fix it, so please go straight there:
- vlad@hladdigital.com
- Phone
- (812) 727-3027
If you can, include the page you were on and a short description of what went wrong. That is usually enough to reproduce it.
And if a problem with this site is stopping you reaching us about a project, do not wait on the fix — call Fonseca Builders directly on (502) 333-4792 (David) or (502) 544-0447 (Preston) and we will take your project details over the phone. You should never have to fight a form to get a quote from us.
Building for accessibility
Separately from this website: if you are planning a build or remodel with accessibility in mind — a step-free entry, wider doorways, a curbless shower, single-floor living, or aging-in-place changes to a home you already own — that is work we can talk through with you. Mention it when you get in touch and we will cover it in the walk-through.
